Items you will need
The Nintendo Wii does not allow you to play copies of Wii games unless you have modified the operating system first, either through software or the inclusion of a computer chip. You can play a copy of a Wii game that has been converted into a file in the ISO-format on a modified Wii, once you have downloaded free Wii ISO modification programs on a computer and have added them to the Wii. You can then put the ISO file onto a memory card. The Wii will read the ISO file from the memory card once you have inserted it into the Wii and treat it as if it were the original game disc.
Modifications Made On A Computer
Download a Wii ISO cover modification program, for example, the WiiCoverfloater program; a Wii ISO media program, for example, the Wii ISO MediaFire program; and a Wii ISO media managing program, for example, the Wii ISO Media Manager (see the links in Resources).
Double-click on the three files once they have downloaded to decompress them to folders on the desktop.
Insert a memory card into the slot in the memory card reader. Plug the memory card readerâs USB cable into a USB port on the computer.
Double-click on the icon of the memory card when it appears on the desktop to open its window.
Double-click on the Wii ISO Cover modification folder to open its window. Drag the lone file inside of the folder into the âWADâ folder inside the memory cardâs window.
Drag the lone folder that was next to the lone file into the âAppsâ folder inside the Wii ISO Cover modification folder.
Double-click on the Wii ISO Media folder on the desktop to open its window. Double-click on the âCIOS36_revken Installerâ folder to open its window.
Rename the only file that is not a âreadmeâ file inside the window to âBoot.dolâ without the quotes.
Double-click on the âAppsâ folder inside the memory card window to open its window.
Right-click inside the window. Select âNew folder' from the pop-up menu. Name the new folder âCIOS36Rev10' without the quotes.
Repeat this procedure to make a folder called âWADmanager1.4.â Shipping pc overseas.
Copy the âBoot.dolâ file into the âCIOS36Rev10â folder.
Double-click on the Wii ISO Media Manage folder to open its window.
Rename the only file that ends in â.dolâ into âBoot.dolâ without the quotes.
Copy the file into the âWADManager1.4â folder that is in the âAppsâ folder.
Right-click on the icon of the memory card. Select âEjectâ from the pop-up menu. Remove the memory card readerâs cable from the USB port of the computer. Remove the memory card from the slot in the memory card reader.
Insert the other memory card into the slot in the memory card reader. Wait for the icon of the memory card to appear on the desktop.
Drag an ISO Wii game backup file onto the icon of the memory card. Wait as the ISO Wii game backup file copies to the memory card.
Right-click on the icon of the memory card. Select âEjectâ from the pop-up menu.
Remove the memory card readerâs cable from the USB port of the computer. Remove the memory card from the slot in the memory card reader.
Modifying The Wii
Insert the memory card with the ISO modification programs on it into the Wiiâs memory card slot. Turn the Wii on. Press the âAâ button on the Wii remote.
Select the âWii Homebrew Channelâ from the Wiiâs Home menu. Select the âStartâ button. Press the âAâ button on the Wii remote.
Scroll through the screens to the âCIOS36Rev10.bootâ file. Select the file. Press the âAâ button on the Wii remote.
Follow the prompts to install the program on the Wii. Turn off the Wii when the program tells you to do so.
Turn the Wii on. Select the âWii Homebrew Channelâ from the Wiiâs Home menu. Select the âStartâ button. Press the âAâ button on the Wii remote.
Scroll through the screens to the âWADManger1.4.bootâ file. Select the file. Press the âAâ button on the Wii remote. Select the âCIOS36rev10.bootâ file. Press the âAâ button on the Wii remote.
Select the Wii ISO Cover modification program presented from the list of choices on the screen. Press the âAâ button o the Wii remote.
Follow the prompts to install the program on the Wii. Select âYesâ on the confirmation window when it appears. Press the âAâ button on the Wii remote.
Wait as the Wii reboots. Remove the memory card from the memory card slot in the Wii. Insert the memory card that has the ISO Wii game backup file on it into the memory slot.
Select the Wii ISO Cover modification programâs icon from the Home menu. Press the âAâ button on the Wii remote. Select the âStartâ menu on the screen that appears. Press the âAâ button on the Wii remote.
Select the icon of the ISO Wii game backup file from the list presented on the screen. Press the âAâ button on the Wii remote.
Tips
A Wii that is modded through software, not a computer chip, can be restored to its original state without having to open it up.
Warnings
Inexpensive memory cards are made of inferior materials and can fail to work properly when inserted into the Wii. Modifying a Wii voids the Nintendo warranty.

This is list of gun games, video games that use a non-fixed gun controller, organized by the video game console or computer system that they were made available for. Ports of light gun games which do not support a light gun (e.g. the Sega Saturn version of Corpse Killer) are not included in this list. Also not included are games that use positional guns, analog controllers normally mounted to arcade cabinets that are used to move crosshairs along the screen. The games are organized alphabetically by the console's company and then subdivided by the respective company's consoles in a chronological fashion.

Wii[edit]
The Wii is unique in that its standard controller can be used as a gun controller. Though a number of Wii games do not support these capabilities, those which do form an exhaustively long list of games, many of which have no resemblance to traditional light gun games. Thus, this section will only include games that either explicitly support the Wii Zapper or are rail shooters in nature. Virtual Console ports, such as Operation Wolf,[16] have thus far not included any amount of light gun support.

It should also be noted that both versions of the light guns that were meant for the 128K+ or up, worked with almost all the games available.
Sony[edit]Sony PlayStation[edit]
The PlayStation has two main types of light guns: the GunCon/G-Con by Namco and the Konami Justifier (known as the Hyperblaster in Japan and Europe). There were also other third-party and non-licensed light guns that were compatible with either: Justifier or GunCon games or both.
Sony PlayStation 2[edit]
Sony PlayStation 3[edit]
The Playstation 3 has two dedicated gun peripherals: the GunCon 3 by Namco and the Top Shot Elite by RedOctane. The PlayStation Move can also function as a gun controller. To qualify, games using the Move have to either support the 'Move Sharp Shooter' peripheral or be rail shooter in nature.

Despite transitioning to a system completely unlike the positional-based gun system of the arcade edition, the Wii's IR tracking system is still able to accurately track exactly what you want to do. You won't lose accuracy in the new system. With an adequate sound system, you can reproduce that thumping basso gunblast you recall from the arcade. The only real downside is that you will also accurately reproduce the below-par graphics, particularly in the Gunblade NY edition. Low polygon counts and nonexistent textures create a dull set of visuals, but the gameplay can't be faulted. The smaller triggers found on Wii Zappers and their clones also mean finger cramping can (and will) occur during extended play. Really, though, when you get right down to it, this takes some of the best rail-shooter action out of the arcade and puts it into your living room.â¦Expand
