Shadows of Evil is the eighteenth (chronologically the third) Zombies map. It is the first Zombies map in Call of Duty: Black Ops IIIand was released along with the game on November 6, 2015, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
The setting takes place in the 1940's fictional Morg City where it introduces four new characters, Nero Blackstone, Jessica Rose, Jack Vincent and Floyd Campbell as they are transported to a nightmarish realm by the Shadowman, a supernatural being pushing for their repentance.
The map adds in a new variant of the Zombie Shield: the Rocket Shield, a new Perk-a-Cola called Widow's Wine and GobbleGum, which allows players to gain special one-time abilities from bubblegum machines across the map. It also features three entirely new enemies, the Margwas, the Parasites, and the Insanity Elementals, while bringing back many traditional zombies features, including the Pack-a-Punch Machine.

Juggernog, Double Tap Root Beer II, and Speed Cola spawn randomly each time a match begins. In the Junction, in front of the doors that lead to the Waterfront, Footlight and Canal District lies a broken perk bottle that is either red, green or yellow. These bottles indicate in which district the perks have spawned. Red indicates Juggernog, green indicates Speed Cola and yellow indicates Double Tap. In order to power up the perk machines, one must go into Beast mode and electrocute the panels next to each perk machine, similar to going into Afterlife mode in Mob of the Dead to charge Voltmeters. There is also Quick Revive, Stamin-Up, Widow's Wine and Mule Kick.
Pack-a-PunchEdit
The Pack-a-Punch Machine allows weapons to be upgraded into better versions of themselves. The machine typically changes the weapon's name and adds one or more attachments, often including FMJ and Extended Mags in appearance. It also increases the pitch of the firing sound and changes the color of the muzzle flash to red or purple. The weapon also notably gains a bizarre camouflage to accent the changes done to it. There is a new feature that affects Pack-a-Punched weapons, where a player can upgrade the weapon again after the weapon's first upgrade (for 2500 without ammo being refilled) to gain a perk on the weapon which gives bullets a chance to have a special effect. The perks are as follows:
- Thunder Wall: Random bullets have a Thunder Gun like effect, blasting back zombies.
- Blast Furnace: Zombies affected by this perk explode when hit; the perk can chain to other zombies.
- Fireworks: Zombies killed have a chance to briefly spawn a cluster of fireworks which kill nearby zombies.
- Turned: Zombies affected by this perk become 'friendly' and will run around attacking other zombies, killing them in one hit.
- Dead Wire: Random bullets shock zombies, chaining electricity to nearby zombies similarly to the Wunderwaffe DG-2.
The machine in this map appears as a light blue portal (similar to the color of the machine's paint in previous maps) with a tentacle that comes out upon placing a weapon in the 'machine'. It is activated for use by placing four Gateworms on podiums in the Rift area. It takes a noticeably longer amount of time to Pack-a-Punch on this map than any other map.
Easter EggsEdit
- A major easter egg, Apocalypse Averted.
- There is a secret room under the Pack-a-Punch machine that can be accessed while in The Beast. However, there is nothing in this room.
- The Li'l Arnie can be upgraded. See Li'l Arnie for a guide.
- Every player can get a free mega GobbleGum. To do so, one needs four Widow's Wine grenades. The grenades should be thrown in the mouth of the four lions appearing in the Canal District. After doing that, every lion will show a little gray sphere (one for each player); after taking them with the use button, these spheres should be put on a plate located in a shop of the first room by holding the use button. After two rounds, the GobbleGums can be eaten by holding the use button on the plate.
- A reference to Salvatore 'Sal' DeLuca is on this map. Next to the door separating the Junction from the spawn area, there should be an open window, and inside should be a black suit with a tag on it. To do this, one must throw a grenade at the suit, but it has to hit the suit at the same time as it explodes. It is easier to do this with Widow's Wine grenades. After this is done, the tag will show up on top of a box right in front of the window. It has Sal's signature on it, and the player can hold the action button on it to gain 500 points.
- At the end of the dock in the Waterfront district, there is a light post with a green light. This is a reference to the book 'The Great Gatsby', where the titular character constantly stares at a green light at the end of a dock on the opposite side of the bay.
- At the start, the players can instantly skip to round 5, 10, then 15 and gain 1000, 4000, and 11000 points respectively. To do so, all players must shoot the Shadowman, who can be seen in the staircase that leads to a ritual room by the starting area.
SongsEdit
- A new song, Snakeskin Boots, can be activated by holding the use button while aiming at three little wooden radios scattered around the map. Locations are:
- In the boxing gym at Waterfront, sitting on a desk on the upper level.
- At the entrance of Ruby Rabbit (Canals District), to the left sitting on a table.
- At the train station of the Footlight District, on a bench.
- An instrumental version of Snakeskin Boots can be activated by holding the use button while aiming at any of the radios twice, followed by single interactions with the other two radios.
- Another song, Cold Hard Cash, can be activated by collecting three parts of a microphone scattered around the map and interacting with the Show Stage of the Black Lace Burlesque (Footlight District). Locations are:
- Wire: Under the stairs that lead from the Ruby Rabbit into the Canals, opposite the power box that is behind the 'only accessed with beast mode' wall.
- Microphone Stand: At Nero's lair, at the left of a bloody knife throwing target.
- Microphone: At the Rift area/Subway Station next to a trash can, near a portal that leads to Waterfront District.
JumpscareEdit
When zooming in with a sniper rifle at some buildings from the docks where the boxing gym is, a picture of Richtofen as a zombie suddenly appears on the player's screen accompanied with a high-pitched scream, similarly to the jump scare from Mob of the Dead and Origins. This can only be done after completing the rituals.
Ciphers and Scrap paperEdit
- Main article: Shadows of Evil/Ciphers and Scrap Paper
Ciphers can be found as well as scraps of paper scattered around the map. Similar to Mob of the Dead and Origins, when the paper is formed it shows various drawings and notes from Edward Richtofen and four coordinates leading to four locations which are visited in future Zombies maps: Lower Silesia, Hohenwerfen Castle, Pohnpei Island, and Volgograd.

A view of a rainy night in Morg City is seen, as the sound of an old camera being interacted with accompanied with noises and then someone dialing a phone is heard, followed by the sound of a phone being picked up. Jessica Rose is then heard talking to a person, whose voice is inaudible. Jessica (on phone): Hey, you.. I know I yelled at you real bad.. I know I said some things I shouldn't have said.. The view changes to a bedroom, where a man is sitting on the bed. Jessica then steps into the room, and approaches the man. Jessica (on phone): I was just angry.. Upset.. You know how close I am to this movie deal.. Jessica then pushes the man down, and climbs on top of him. Before the man could touch her, she grabs a handcuff on the side of the bed, and cuffs the man's left hand to the bed. Jessica (on phone): I mean, they know about my dancing, but.. Those pictures.. You don't wanna mess up my chance at stardom, do you baby? Jessica then reaches for the scissors on the table nearby. Jessica (on phone): What do you say.. You bring over those prints and we can.. Jessica raises the scissors into the air, and stabs the man. Some of his blood splatters over her face. Jessica (on phone):.. Make up? The scene blackens, and the sound of a phone being dialed is heard again. The view then switches to Jack Vincent, who is lighting his cigarette with a match. Vincent is then heard on the phone conversating with someone, whose voice is also inaudible. Vincent (on phone): Hey. We got a problem. A big problem. Vincent then drops the match onto the road. A newspaper clip is seen, with the headline 'Mayor Cracks Down on Police Corruption'. Vincent (on phone): The mayor's trying to make a name for himself, sticking his nose where it don't belong. Vincent is seen meeting up with a man outside the 'Ruby Rabbit' club. Vincent (on phone): He's looking into.. Allegations of police bribery. The man makes a gesture, asking Vincent for bribery. He then pulls out a wad of money, but before the man could take it, Vincent signals him to go to another place. Vincent (on phone): What do you say we get together at the usual joint.. Put things through.. Figure out a way to put this to bed before it gets out of hand? Vincent and the man walk inside an alley. He then pulls out his Bloodhound revolver and knocks the man in the back of his head. Vincent (on phone): Trust me.. Have I ever steered you wrong before? Vincent then aims at the man on the ground and fires two shots. The scene blackens, and the sound of another phone ringing is heard. The scene changes to a locker room, where Floyd Campbell is getting ready for his fight against Tony King. Campbell is then heard talking with someone on the phone. Campbell (on phone): I ain't fought in eighteen months.. I'm stepping in at the last minute. I've only got 2 weeks to train. But the outcome ain't in any doubt. Campbell looks at his fist, which is wearing a brass knuckle. Campbell (on phone): You see.. I ain't leaving nothing to chance. He may be the number one contender, but his career ends tonight. As the sound of a bell rings, the scene switches to a boxing ring, where Campbell is fighting against King. Campbell (on phone): You just make sure the ref knows to look the other way.. 'cause this ain't gonna be pretty. And once he's done.. Once you've collected your debts, and your bets.. Campbell knocks King out with an uppercut. King falls down to the floor, and his mouth piece falls out. The referee stops the match, and declares Campbell the victor. Campbell (on phone):.. I get my shot at the title. The scene blackens, and the sound of another phone being dialed is heard again. The view then shows a table, with a magazine 'Magician's Weekly' on top, with Nero Blackstone on the cover, and the headline 'Nero's Career Is Up In Smoke! Worst Magician of the Year!'. Nero is then heard on the phone talking to his lawyer, whose voice is inaudible. Nero (on phone): I do understand the seriousness of the situation. Why else would I be talking to my lawyer? Several playing cards are then dropped on the table, then picked up by Nero. Nero then practices his card trick, only to fail again. Nero (on phone): But, just to be clear.. Can you please.. Tell me precisely how much, uh, debt my wife has accumulated? Nero then slams the cards on the table, and picks up his glass of wine with ice in it. On the table, there are several overdue bills, along with a picture of Nero's wife, with the frame fractured. He takes a sip of his drink, then throws the glass at a picture of himself on the wall in anger. Nero (on phone): Do you happen to know if.. Our life insurance policies are-are, fully paid up? The scene changes, and Nero is seen locking his wife on a spinning table. He then takes a few steps back, then faces his wife, with a knife in his hand. He narrows his eyes at his wife. Nero (on phone): No, nonono.. I-I can assure you, I-I would never, EVER think of taking such a course of action. No I just wanna make sure our affairs are, uh.. Nero then swings the knife at the table, and moments before it strikes his wife's shocked face, the screen blackens. Nero (on phone):.. In order. The scene then changes to the Black Lace burlesque club, where Jessica is performing on stage, while Vincent, Campbell and Nero sit and watch. The Shadowman then narrates. Shadowman: I have been watching. I have seen each and every one of your misdeeds. I know who you are. Vincent suddenly falls asleep, followed by Campbell. Jessica also falls to her feet, followed by Nero, who passes out after finishing a drink and lets go of his glass. Shadowman: But, questions remain. Why do you do the things you do? The scene then flashes quickly, showing a zombie being attacked by tentacles with blood flying everywhere, then shows the four characters waking up in separate areas. Jessica awakes inside the now vacant Black Lace stage with blood splattered on the floor, while the other 3 are all located in different streets of Morg City, Floyd near a building named 'The Anvil', Vincent near the 'Ruby Rabbit' lounge and a bar named 'Lighthouse Bar', and Nero in an ally near a News building and the bar. Shadowman: Do you not see the futility of your tiny, insignificant existence? As each of the characters wake up, a distinct marking is seen on all of their left hands. Shadowman: You are but fragments of a bigger universe. Your sins serve only as an invitation.. Zombies suddenly appear before Nero and begin to chase him down. Elsewhere, Vincent also runs away from the zombies, while firing his revolver at them. Shadowman:.. An invitation to an evil beyond your imagination. Campbell punches two zombies in his path while trying to escape, while Jessica runs through alleys, completely defenseless. Shadowman: I'll lead the way. I will show you the path. Only through me, the Shadowman, will you find your redemption. Only moments after running, the four characters are reunited in an alley. They stand together, ready to face the zombie horde. |

A beam of energy fires upward from the center of the Junction, destroying the giant Apothicon beast covering the skies of Morg City as it lets out one final scream. A Keeper dressed in black clothing descends before the four characters, with the Summoning Key in his hand. The characters slowly approach the Keeper, but suddenly Edward Richtofen grabs the key. The characters turn to him. Richtofen: I'm so sorry, I really don't have time to explain. I have a universe to set right. Thank you, und goodbye. Richtofen then steps through a portal behind him, and disappears. |

TriviaEdit
- There is a cinema on the map. One of the shows is set to appear on November 6th, the same date Black Ops III was released.[1]
- The map appears to take heavy influence from the Cthulhu Mythos, including Eldritch beings that were notable for a demonic, squid-like appearance riddled with tentacles, which the Apothicons are based on. This is most obvious with the name of the Wonder Weapon, which follows the same naming pattern as H.P Lovecraft's creations, and of the Cthulhu statues one might uncover.
- The Cthulhu Mythos also starred zombies and re-animated corpses, alongside insectoid flying creatures, spectres and weaker, more human-like tentacle monsters, which fit in with the new types of enemies introduced.
- The Death Machine power-up can not be dropped by conventional means in Co-op mode.
- Based on one of Richtofen's quotes when with Nikolai in The Giant, the artifact he was talking about is the Summoning Key that is trapping the Shadow Man.
- The plane from Mob of the Dead, Icarus, can be seen flying during the major easter egg, The Beginning of the End.
- The map of Alcatraz from Mob of the Dead can be seen on a wall in the Subway.
- A map of the excavation site in Origins can be seen on a table next to the rift door in the Waterfront District.
- If one is to shoot the Shadowman in the beginning of the match, they'll be able to skip to round 5 all the way up to 15. This can only be done on solo, private or local matches. It will also grant the player a few thousand points for each 5 rounds skipped.
- The interlude of Cold Hard Cash plays on the beginning of the match and after completing a Parasite or Insanity Elemental round.
- If the player goes prone in front of a Perk-a-Cola machine, they will be given 100 points for free.
- The player can only receive the 100 from Stamin-Up if they go prone and crawl to the side of the perk machine under the electricity conductor.
- The Ruby Rabbit Lounge is a reference to the club where Jessica Rabbit danced in the movie 'Who framed Roger Rabbit'

Map Layout | District Names | Other Locations
The map is essentially split into 6 main sections which are: Easy Street, The Junction, The Waterfront district, The Footlight district, The Canals district and The Rift.
Easy Street is the room every game starts in. It has 4 windows, Quick Revive, an RK5 (500 Points), a Sheiva (500 Points), a fumigator and a beast mode fountain. There is one buyable door which costs 500 points and opens the Junction area.
Once in the Junction, you will notice there are 3 paths you can choose. Each path has a sign above it which either says 'Canals District', 'Footlight District' or 'Waterfront District'. These are the 3 main areas of the map and you don't have to open them in any order to progress the game.
Each of these paths will cost 1000 points to open the door. Once you go through them you will notice lots of things like fountains, traps, doors, machines, box's, lots of things.
To access the Rift, you will have to open a Rift portal round the map. There are 3 in total. Once you open one, you will be able to use beast mode to open a door to The Rift so you can enter by feet.
Recap: Easy Street is the spawn room. It leads to the Junction. Which leads to the Canals District, the Footlight District and the Waterfront District which all lead to The Rift.
Fumigators are an object which you can pick up to open pods around the map. Each player can obtain a fumigator and you will keep it for the whole game, even if you go down or die. Once you obtain a fumigator, you can use it by going up to a pod and pressing your interact button.
Locations
If you are playing solo, you can take the fumigator that is in the spawn room. Symmetricds tutorial. It'll either be on a table towards the locked gate at the back of the room, on the back of a truck to the right next to Quick Revive or on a couple of boxes to the left near the purple foutain.
If you are playing a co-op game, there's a fumigator in the Canals District, Waterfront District and the Junction for every player to have one.
In the Junction it'll be near the fruit stalls near Easy Street, near the crane in the middle or a chair near Stamin-Up.
In the Canals, it'll either be to the right as you open the door near a fountain or further up next to a Gobblegum machine.
In the Waterfront, it'll either be to the left as you open the door, further up next to a Gobblegum machine and up the stairs you open with beast mode to the left.
There are no fumigators in the Footlight District however you will already have 4 by now!
Pods | What they're for | Locations
Pods are these objects which spawn in fixed locations around the map. They can be used to obtain items, weapons, power-ups, spawn Zombies and lots of things! You obtain these things by harvesting pods which you need a fumigator to do.
The pods vary in size and colour - there are 3 stages to pods: Green/Yellow (basic), Red (good) and Purple/Pink (amazing). Each stage changes the rarity and value of the item you get in the pods. The pods change colour and grow in size over the course of the game but it's dependent on rounds (not time) and varies between each pod.
The items that you can obtain from each stage can be seen in the table below. I recommend waiting till the pods are Purple/Pink to to get the best items/rewards.
Green/Yellow Items | Red Items | Purple/Pink Items |
---|---|---|
Grenade | Most Green/Yellow Items | Most Red Items |
Zombie | 500 points power-up | 1000 points power-up |
Parasite | Kuda | Man-O-War |
Locus | Bootlegger | Raygun |
Bloodhound | KRM-262 | Margwa tentacle (for the wonder weapon) |
RK5 | Haymaker 12 | Other power-ups |
L-CAR 9 |
The fuses are items which are used to activate The Civil Protector. They can obtain by location them around the map. There are 3 fuses in total. They are small but glow bright blue. The locations for each are shown in the table below:
District | Location |
---|---|
Waterfront | At the top level of the district near the Mystery Box location |
Canals | Top level/walkway of the district near KN-44 location and near the train station |
Footlight | Top level/walkway of the district near HVK-30/Doughnut cart locations |
Once you have obtained all 3 fuses, go down to The Rift either through a portal or the stairs in the junction and go to the wall next to the Footlight District portal and place them in the MCPD box.
Now you can summon the Civil Protector in any of the districts.
The Civil Protector | What it's for | Locations
The Civil Protector is a AI Robot which helps you in your fight against Zombies! What can The Civil Protector do? The Civil Protector will shoot zombies, margwas, parasites, meatballs, pick up power-ups, revive you and teammates (if in solo you will keep your quick revive)
You must complete the Fuses section to unlock The Civil Protector.
The Civil Protector can be upgraded by completing the main Easter Egg.
The Civil Protector can be called in by going up to one of the boxes around the map and calling it in. It will cost 2000 points.
What is Beast Mode? Beast Mode is a state which allows players to open up special areas of the map, activate perks, revive players without being chased by Zombies and more!
You can enter Beast Mode by finding a 'Beast Mode Fountain' somewhere around the map. Once you enter beast mode, you will only have a certain amount of time to use it before you are brought back to human form.
If you're on solo, you will have a maximum of 3 beast modes on round 1 and they will add up each round maxing at 3. If you are on co-op, each player will have 1 beast mode per round.
If you have a beast mode available, the claw on the left of your HUD will be blue, if you do not have a beast mode available, the claw will be red.
You cannot use the same fountain more than once per round.
Rituals & Items | What they're for | Locations
Rituals are how Pack-A-Punch is opened in this map. They are simple to do and will reward you with points! There are a total of 5 Rituals, one in each District which are the 4 character rituals and a final 'Pack-A-Punch Ritual'.
In order to do each character ritual, you must first obtain the ritual item.
To obtain the ritual items, please read the Beast Mode Efficiency section in my other post: Shadows of Evil | Complete Map Breakdown.
Once you have completed the 4 character rituals, you will need to go to the Rift to complete the Pack-A-Punch ritual.
I will not be explaining the Rituals in-depth in this post as they can be too complicated but you can read my in-depth tutorial here: Shadows of Evil | Complete Map Breakdown
To open the Pack-a-Punch room which is located in The Rift, you must complete all the character rituals.
For an in-depth tutorial on how to open Pack-A-Punch, see my other post: Shadows of Evil | Complete Map Breakdown
To Pack-a-Punch a weapon, it costs 5000 Points and increases mag size, ammo capacity, damage, range, fire-rate, etc.
Once a weapon is Pack-a-Punch'd you can Re-Pack it for 2500 points for alternate ammo types.
Alternate ammo types are different types of bullets which activate every few shots. Most alternate ammo types do not count towards points or kills. You can see the 5 different alternate ammo types and their abilities in the table below:
Alternate Ammo Type | Description |
---|---|
Turned | This turns Zombies into friendly's that attack and kill other Zombies. |
Dead Wire | This sends an electrostatic shock chain reaction through Zombies that kills the Zombies. |
Blast Furnace | This sends a blast of fire through Zombies, incinerating the Zombies. |
Thunder Wall | This blows Zombies away into the air, killing the Zombies. |
Fire Works | This puts a version of your gun inside some fireworks which fires at nearby Zombies for a couple of seconds, killing the Zombies. |
Buildables Tables | What they do | Locations
The Buildables tables are used to build items such as the Zombie Shield and the Wonder Weapon.
There are tables in the Canals district, Waterfront district and Footlight district.
In the Waterfront district it is located near the top of the docks next to a beast mode fountain and the HVK-30.
In the Footlight district it is located at the very back of the district on the walkways near the HVK-30.
In the Canals district it is located at the back next to the stair case to the train, a beast mode fountain and the M8A7.
The Zombie Shield is split in 3 parts. Once you have built the shield, it will be on you back and provide protection so Zombies cannot hit you from behind. Alternatively you can equip it by pressing down and use it to melee Zombies, as cover or press R2 to use the rocket ability to kill Zombies by flying through them.
One part is in the Waterfront district. It's located at the top of the stairs you open in the beast mode room on a box or in the room at the top of the stairs. You will find it up against a wall in those rooms.
One part is in the Footlight district. It's located at the top of the stairs you open in the beast mode room just to the left or on a chair to the left inside the building at the top of the stairs.
One part is in the Canals district. It's located at the top of the stairs you open in beast mode against a wall. Or it's on the bridge. Or it's in the other room against a wall.
To assemble the Zombie shield, go up to one of the buildables tables and build it. I recommend the canals.
Train | What it's for | Locations
The train is used to travel across the map. It can be used as an escape from Zombies however if you activate with Zombies on the train, the Zombies will stay alive until you kill them. Also margwas can teleport onto the train before it starts to move.
The train spawns in any one of the three main districts. It can be found using maps located around the map. The train costs 500 points each use or to call it and you can change its destination. It has a slight cool down of a few seconds.
The Wonder Weapon is made up of 3 parts and has to be built. It can be built at any buildables table which you can find the location to in the Buildables Tables section in this post.
Cod Bo3 Zombies Shadows Of Evil Glitches
The first part will be dropped whenever you kill a margwa until you pick it up. This part is the margwa heart.
The next part will be dropped by killing parasites or meatballs. It usually comes between round 9 - 23 and beyond.
The final part comes from the Purple/Pink pods which is the margwa tentacle. To learn more about pods read the Pods section of this post.
The Wonder Weapon takes a weapon slot. It has 10 total ammo and can shoot one shot at a time then you must reload.
The Wonder Weapon cannot be upgraded as of now.
The Wonder Weapon is quite powerful. It works similar to the Gersch device except the range is only in the immediate vicinity, not the whole map. It does not suck in margwas but it can stop them temporarily.
Mystery Box | How it works | Locations
The Mystery Box in this map works like any other, it spawns in a random location and moves after a few uses.
It costs 950 points normally and 10 points during a firesale.
It has no permanent starting location.
Gobblegum are like perks which you can set before a game in the form of a pack - 5 Gobblegum per pack - and can be bought in-game using a Gobblegum machine. These vary is usability, length, power and rarity. To learn more about the Gobblegum Machine and Gobblegum overall, read my other post Gobblegum Information which is chalk-full of information about Gobblegum and all the Gobblegum in the game: Gobblegum, Perks & Weapon Kits | Game Features Breakdown
The Gobblegum machine always has one starting location in the junction.
It always has 2 on the map at one time and the second starting location is usually the first machine in the Footlight district.
It costs 500 points normally and 10 points during a firesale.
It can only be used once per round - this includes firesales.
It will move after a few uses.
Perks | What they are | Locations
Perks work the same way as any other map! Once you buy them, you will keep them until you go down (unless you use Gobblegum), die and you can only buy 4 perks at one time (unless you use Gobblegum). There are 7 perks on Shadows of Evil which are:
Perk Name | Perk Description | Cost |
---|---|---|
Quick Revive | Co-op - This perk allows you to revive your teammates 50% faster. Solo - This perk allows you to revive yourself 3 times | Co-op - 1500 Points. Solo - 500 Points |
Stamin-Up | Gives you a 7% speed increase and double speed endurance | 2000 Points |
Juggernog | Increase Health by 66.6%. Instead of 3 hits, you can take 5 hits | 2500 Points |
Double Tap II | Increases firerate to 1.2x and splits bullets into 2 effectively doubling damage | 2000 Points |
Speed Cola | Decrease reload time and the time to interact with items, throw grenades, special bombs, etc. | 3000 Points |
Widows Wine | Upgrades grenades into Widows Grenade. Widow Grenades release a web which ensnares Zombies, slowing them down. You can apply the same effect by knifing or when hit by Zombies when using Widows Wine | 4000 Points |
Mule Kick | Allows you to buy a third weapon | 4000 Points |
You can only obtain 4 perks at once unless you use Gobblegum (See: Gobblegum, Perks & Weapon Kits | Game Features Breakdown).
Juggernog, Speed Cola and Double Tap II all change location each game. They change between the Canals district, Footlight district and Waterfront district.
Outside each district at the door there is a smashed perk bottle representing which perk is where. The bottles glow the colour of the perk. So:
A red Juggernog bottle for Juggernog.
A green Speed Cola bottle for Speed Cola.
An orange Double Tap II bottle for Double Tap II.
Weapons in this game are used to kill Zombies, margwas, etc. (obviously) and can be upgraded and customized to make them more powerful, efficient and personal! Some weapons are only available from the Mystery Box or by Box weapons which you can see in the table below.

Survival
This section has been directly lifted from my Shadows of Evil | Complete Map Breakdown post for consistency.
Survival is key to Zombies. You might think this is a strange topic to discuss in a Map Breakdown but I disagree. Assuming you have read this entire guide or know all of this like I do, you now have a wide array of tools to help you survive to high rounds. However tools and weapons aren't the only thing you need, you also need skill.
Now, I can't teach you skill but I can give you a very valuable tip. This a Zombies sub, full of posts just like mine to help you, use the search feature to find helpful training/camping strategies and other tips and tricks!
Some basic survival tips for Shadows of Evil and other Zombies maps are.. Don't camp, learn how to train. This will make surviving much easier and calmer, it will also improve your skill as a player. Begin by doing easy trains in large areas like The Rift or around Pack-a-Punch, once you get more comfortable with this technique, go for more complex and challenging but faster trains like at the beast mode statue in Waterfront.
If you aren't familiar with 'training', look it up, it's rather easy! It basically involves running around in a circle and the Zombies will gather together in a crowd (train) and it makes killing them easier and safer. You can also go for more complex trains, semi-circles, half-circles, loops, backwards loops, all sorts of different methods!
Other things to do are to always have a Zombies shield - this will protect your back making it less likely to get hit. Use Widows Wine so that if you are hit, all Zombies in the immediate area get suck in a Widow's Web. Use traps to kill Zombies! Use the Civil Protector! He will kill Zombies, revive you and you'll keep your Quick Revive! He also kills Margwas! You can read more about The Civil Protector in The Civil Protector section above!

There are so many strategies in Shadows of Evil! However, because there are so many, it would take too long and too much space to write them all here. Instead, I'll be creating posts for the ones that I personally like or find are the best! You can also search this subreddit for other people's strategies or hell, use YouTube.
